For my Master's Project at MetFilm School, I chose to join Joshua Smith's project: a webshow by and for the fans of the pop culture franchises that dominate film and TV in the 21st century.
The project presented numerous technical and creative challenges, chief among them being the development of a solid multi-camera workflow for the project, a high shooting ratio for a student project of well over 20:1 per episode, and the fact that each episode was shaped almost entirely in the edit by design.
It was a rewarding experience and we are pleased with the result. I am currently working on an additional two episodes of the show.

Jerry Rothwell, director of the acclaimed documentary The Reason I Jump (2020), engaged myself and a few other alumni from MetFilm School's post production MA to create all new video material which will become visual companion pieces for upcoming live orchestra performances of the film's score by Nainita Desai.
The task was to create a purely visual story to elevate the music and not overshadow it using material from specific scenes for each piece of music.
In this example we follow Ben, one of the film's many non-speaking autistic characters, as he strives to realize his dream of rowing.

BMW wanted to mark International Day of Parents 2020 with a video post on social media so we sought out three members of a BMW fan group and interviewed them about cars and their parents.
The video combines memories shared during the interviews with images of the men and their BMWs, tying together those early recollections with their love of cars today.

Blacksmithing is a centuries old craft that has today largely been replaced by automated manufacturing. However, a small number still train to become blacksmiths and face challenges in balancing the ancient craft with modern innovations and technology. In this short documentary, we take a look inside the forge at Big Beynon Blacksmithing and learn more about what it means to be a blacksmith in the 21st century.
This was a master's project at MetFilm School that I agreed to edit. A long time ago, I briefly considered to train as a blacksmith myself. There is something about the act of creation that I now engage with as an editor instead, but it was interesting to explore it in this unique art of shaping metal.

Two men at opposite ends of their respective lifespans form a friendship across the chasm between their balconies and age. The film explores how some people are unfairly forced to grow up too soon by circumstance while others rediscover a childlike glee about life, even as they face an imminent end.

The author of a book about dealing with grief is, ironically, struggling immensely with the death of his wife. In the flat below, a woman struggles with an abusive relationship. The two of them bond over the pain in their lives and wonder where relief may be found.
This was the first short film approaching the ten minute mark that I edited and I was also on set as the sound recordist as well as being the sound editor & mixer.
While flawed, I cherish this film for the valuable lessons it taught me and the incredible struggle of getting it made in the first place.

Hello!
I am a video editor with 5 years of experience in a wide variety of styles from short form documentary and fiction to social media videos for corporate and private clients. Besides video editing, I also have a lot of experience with sound editing & mixing. I can also color grade and I am developing my graphics and VFX skills.
In January 2021 I graduated from MetFilm School London with a Master's in post-production and the highest honours. Before that, I was a student and later a college assistant at the European Film College in Ebeltoft, Denmark from 2015-2017. Between the two, I studied philosophy at the University of Copenhagen for three semesters.
I am experienced with both Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as Pro Tools and Adobe Audition for sound editing & mixing and I am also familiar with Davinci Resolve for color grading work.
At present, I am looking for compelling projects to work on, and to continue developing my creative and technical editing skills. If you have need of a keen creative collaborator or a technically proficient editing assistant on your project, I hope to hear from you!
